Smart Solutions is seeking a System Administrator (Enterprise Business Service) to join a dynamic team in Madison, WI. In this role, you will install, upgrade, and support O/S and software products including identifying and resolving O/S problems, providing technical assistance to IS staff/clients, and performing capacity analysis/tuning of software products/O/S. A small percentage of duties will need strong leadership capabilities including leading moderately complex projects, independently or amongst a team and mentoring/guiding a junior staff.

As A EBS System Administrator, You Will
  • Plan, analyze, implement, and test O/S software upgrades/new releases and assess impact
  • Collaborate with staff/vendors during installation and resolve issues
  • Provide technical expertise in resolving complex problems to maximize system availability and minimize response time
  • Determine recovery/backup measures and ensure integration with disaster recovery procedures
  • Perform capacity/performance analysis, problem analysis, testing and tuning, and develop reporting to ensure resources are utilized efficiently
  • Evaluate products and make recommendations
  • Resolve system and product malfunctions by providing assistance and support and analyzing/documenting modifications
  • Determine impact of new/upgraded applications on existing software with appropriate staff

What We Are Looking For
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Info Systems, or related field
  • 4+ years in a System Administrator role or similar
  • Enterprise Service Bus experience (Dell Boomi) (install, maintain, review, monitor, security, documentation, etc.)
  • Knowledgeable of Linux platform install and troubleshoot applications
  • Framework and development methodologies knowledge to support application development
  • Puppet, BigFix or other deployment automation packages experience
  • Strong analytical, organization and documentation/technical writing skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
